Real-Time Monitoring

Real-time monitoring is an increasingly popular technology that is being used across the world. This technology allows users to have up-to-date results on various parameters and at specified intervals. Users of real-time monitoring equipment range from government agencies monitoring the effects of pollution to fisherfolks interested in knowing water temperatures.

MREAC has been engaged in real-time monitoring on the Miramichi watershed and has worked with a number of strategic partners in this endeavour. Water temperature, water level, air temperature, and precipitation parameters are currently being monitored.
